I’ve been told that a beard suits my face. I never knew if that was a compliment or not, but I felt better when I had one.  And now, all 7 of my children only know me with facial hair.  With facial hair, comes more care, and my wife and I don’t trust conventionalized skin care products. My wife makes her own facial cream and buy only organic make-up, and I wanted to do the same for beard care.

I started creating my own, but I remember the days when my dad would shave and I would take a big whiff of his after shave.  Just thinking of that smell, transports me back in time.  When I co-found That’s Nostalgic, I wanted to do the same for others. Growing up in the 80s and 90s was a special time, and I often smile when thinking about all the memories. You’re probably wondering what does all this have to do with beard care?  

One of my favorite scents, if not the all time favorite, was Drakkar Noir. It was THE cologne to wear, and I used to douse myself in it, thinking I would become a chick magnet in high school. I was a the store a few years back and came across it, and it transporting me back to simpler times.  I thought “what if I can recreate a similar scent and mix it with my beard oil”?  And so, That’s Nostalgic Beard Oil was born.

I smell like a million bucks (at least I think so), and I also smile each day when I put it on.  I want everyone to feel the same way.  There is nothing better than to share my beard oils with the world, and I’m confident it will take you back in time with me.
