How It Began

That's Nostalgic wasn't born in a boardroom.

It started with a memory...

We’re Kris and JR and while creating our Nostalgia Files YouTube channel, we realized something. People love to reminisce about the moments that made them feel the most.

We’ve seen first hand the joy when someone opens a box to find their favorite toy from childhood. So we sought out to bring more of these warm and fuzzies to more people and that’s when the light bulb went on!

After making my own beard oil for nearly a decade, one day I opened an old bottle of Drakkar Noir from the mid-90s and added a few drops to a fresh batch.
Instantly…
I wasn’t standing in my workshop anymore.
I was back in 7th grade.
Walking the school hallways.
Stopping by my locker to splash more cologne on.
Thinking I was the coolest kid in school because I was wearing way too much Drakkar Noir.

That’s when it hit us.
Scents don’t just smell good.
They unlock memories.
That moment became an obsession.
Kris and I asked ourselves, could we recreate those feelings?
Not just with beard oils…
But with candles…
Collectibles…
Apparel…
Stickers…
And every nostalgic idea that makes people smile and say,
“I haven’t thought about that in years.”

That’s why That’s Nostalgic exists.
Because the greatest decades deserve more than memories.
